Mahrko’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is probably one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. At the beginning, I thought it was going to be another silly, “the poor taking from the rich” type of movie, but man I was wrong. The change in tone during the discovery of the housekeeper’s husband totally switched this to a suspenseful thriller. I was glued to my seat. Not only was the poor family being a “parasite” to the wealthy, but also the former housekeeper and her husband. In the end, the director really went to show how the rich don’t give a shit about poor people and the anger the poor hold toward the wealthy. Also showing that there’s no shortcut to being wealthy. It’s very unrealistic that the son’s dream of getting enough money to buy the house and to free his dad will come true. Just shows how we’re all just stuck in our social classes and will probably never get out of them.
