I’m sorry but I fucking hated this movie!!!! The tumblr text posts from like 2012 that this movie rips off for its dialogue were better written and had more depth than this!!! Excuse me she calls the cops??? Didn’t the justice system like.... completely fail her and her friend before....?? Wasn’t that supposed to be like the point of her revenge quest? Confusing that she would do that then! Let’s let the cops take it from here me and my friend are partying in heaven right now :) I could’ve watched like.... American Mary, Jennifer’s Body, Dirty Weekend, idk anything else instead I’m not even saying those movies are perfect feminist masterpieces of course they’re not but this???? Tricking the women involved into thinking they (or their underage daughter????) have been sexually assaulted but then letting every single dude go with essentially a slap on the wrist? Don’t give me shit about how that’s like the movie commenting on whatever, isn’t this supposed to be like she did that cinema??? If the “that” in question was calling the cops then yes she did that. Also I just have a hard time believing that all those dudes would immediately be able to tell she was actually sober all along based on her saying like one sentence in a different tone and then are instantly so pissed that she spoiled their evil mustache twirling plans like yes maybe some people really are that evil but the completely blunt dumb hamfistedness really boils my blood because real life is not that blunt and dumb and full of people saying “but I’m a nice guy” and “she was asking for it” or whatever other buzzwords about consent they searched for on Twitter to write this idk I’m sure it is some of the time but a lot of the time real life is full of people doing bad things in much more subtle insidious ways while probably convincing themselves that what they’re doing isn’t that bad also I think Adam Brody should’ve played Al Monroe and that other dude could’ve played whoever Adam Brody’s character was ok I wanted a big Al Monroe reveal and I’m sorry if you’re a Chris Lowell fan but I don’t know who that is!! Meanwhile they wasted Adam Brody on a very whatever scene! This was shot like Riverdale! I hated the obnoxious framing in so many shots and why bother using Night of the Hunter if you’re not going to do anything cool with it! And don’t get me started on Toxic or Stars Are Blind! Also great to watch no men be punished but to see an extended shot of the promising young woman squirming and gasping for air while suffocating to death for like a minute and a half.... not! Also she gets killed on my birthday which is July 23 and the cops come to the wedding on July 27 which is my sister’s birthday so.... I don’t know I didn’t like that
