Malcolm’s review published on Letterboxd:
Shane Black made a very potent, anti-establishment satire; complete with two great lead performances, a comedic script and witty direction to enunciate comedic timing and important exchanges. It has numerous similarities to Chinatown and The Big Sleep, as well.
The "Nice Guys" are terrible people; one of them is a murderer and the other is a deceitful drunk. But in the corrupt, filthy LA created by Shane Black, they truly are The Nice Guys.
