Jonny’s review published on Letterboxd:
I have kinda been on a cold streak with Cohen brother films lately, I haven't been into them much and wasn't too keen on watching any others. That being said my roommates insisted on watching this film tonight and I didn't argue, so unlike Llewyn's fate I feel like I caught a bit of luck tonight.
This film is mesmerizing, the music is stunning, the performances are spot on, it's funny, and it's beautiful.
It's also really depressing but in a weird way kinda comforting, did anyone else feel that or am I projecting a bit?
I don't have much else to say about the film other than my faith in the Cohen brothers is restored.
*Also this movie made me kinda vibe with cats which is hard to do
