The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

    ★★★

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is an average comedy with some clever decisions and a compelling true story to tell.

Sure it's generic, a bit cheesy and there's a lot of product placement, but other than that, it's quite entertaining.

It's longer than it should be but it's alright. I probably won't be rewatching anytime soon, but some people will love this.

    Taste of Cherry

    ★★★

Taste of Cherry is a slow-paced, deep and patient Iranian film. It explores the themes of life and death in a very interesting way.

Given the subject matter of suicide, many simple shots just hit different. Mainly cause we don't get to see anything when we're dead.

It was tough to get through but I wouldn't call it boring. I wish a bit more happened, but sometimes life isn't like that.

"It's not because you don't understand but you can't feel what I feel."

Kick-Ass is everything a superhero movie should be. Hilarious, exciting, over-the-top and very realistic. The action sequences are insane, the characters are iconic and the story is, surprisingly, not bad at all.

But what I liked the most was the brilliant script in this film. The dialogue felt real and the humor was just on another level. For teenagers, specially, this is a very relatable film.

Kick-Ass is an action packed superhero movie, that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and…

    Halloween

    ★★★½

Halloween is a horror film done right. The audience knows where the story is heading, but it’s still entertaining to watch. I gotta say this was exactly what I expected, a pretty good slasher with a few scares and a lot of tension.

The character of Mike Myers is great. He has a great back story and his iconic mask is on point. But Jamie Lee Curtis completely steals the show with her performance. Without her, this movie wouldn’t have…
