Letterboxd — Your life in film

Can easily be called the (Indian) Cricket version of Spiderman:NoWayHome - people cheering, clapping, staying till the literal end of credits.
I had absolutely zero expectations after the trailer and (lack of) marketing, but am so glad that I decided to watch this!
I cried towards the end I think

Each and every member of the cast was phenomenal in their roles and as a cricket fan, it was an absolutely amazing experience watching this on the big screen.

I still don't agree with the way few of the things were represented (read: PMO and army for one) but okay.

Really liked how they dealt with the LGBTQ aspect, and Vaani shines through and through in her performance.

But while I can appreciate the efforts to bring awareness, the movie as a whole falls flat. Unnecessary songs, Unnecessary Punjabi accents and stereotypes. Cant believe how bad Ayushmann was in this
Even with a runtime of barely 2hrs, this movie feels too stretched.

Expect disappointment and you'll never be disappointed

Is usually my mantra for Spiderman movies, but HOLY SHIT this one!!

The way the whole theatre at a 7am show erupted in screams when Andrew Garfield came on screen, a truly unmatched theatre experience 👌

All the performances were just so great! I laughed, I cried, I hooted - this movie is honestly a definition for fan service.

The story and the performances are inversely proportional to each other

Can't believe it took me this long for a first watch and can I just say Andrew Garfield🥵

Ranveer Singh in his 10min cameo outshines literally everyone

The cast 🥵🥵

They didn't have to go this much OTT just because it was an OTT platform release🥴
Subtlety bhi important hai

Kudos to Soham Majumdar for his voice acting,
also, Mrunal Thakur, please stop doing 5min roles as the hero's love interest/motivation

some really powerhouse performances, the story was engaging and going good but then
second half🤮
amitabh's unnecessary monologue 🤮🤮
accused falling from a cliff because 'dharti par nahi toh bhagwan insaaf kar hi dega' 🤮🤮🤮

ending scene was nice tho

makes up for good background noise while working 👍

Made for a fun back-to-theatres experience!

Loved, loved, loved the BGM and cinematography so much
Had some really hot characters 🥵
But the plot faltered a bit and seemed to draw inspiration from various sources (just a small letdown). Overall a good movie, especially that end-credit scene👌
