Maria’s review published on Letterboxd:
Color me surprised! I’ve had a lot of fun with this one. I enjoyed it a lot more than I did Homecoming on my first viewing. It works incredibly well as an epilogue to Endgame, showing how the average person is dealing with the fallout of the Blip (as it is called here), but it also has that certain vibe that I want from a Spider-Man movie, which I thought Homecoming was missing (there were a lot of moments, where I thought to myself that it couldn’t get any more Spider-Man than this). That’s, on one hand, thanks to Peter and MJ, whose relationship was my favorite part of the movie, and, on the other hand, thanks to Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, who’s now my favorite MCU villain.
If it’s gonna be anything like this, I couldn’t be more excited for the next Spider-Man movie!
