The first you need to know about Santantango is that it's split into 12 chapters, so even if the duration is seven hours you can definitely watch it in any number of sessions, just like you do with the latest Netflix series.
The second thing you need to know is that you won't be able to stop watching it because it's visually stunning, with many long shots and marvellous camera work. Plus, you are so invested in the story already and the storytelling isn't linear, making the experience so enriching and stimulating.
The third and last thing you need to know is that there's a heartbreaking scene involving some animal cruelty. I had no idea and it was the most difficult thing to watch for me after the "Don't F**k with Cats" documentary.
