I’m watching Little Shop for a podcast recording and holy hell is it going to get dark and nsfw...and as for watching this thrice in a 5 month period, it just gets better and better. Even with aspects as simple as the comedic cast.

The directors cut is superior and an entirely different film, more like Ghostbusters in the end, because it’s not just an extra scene or two, it’s a drastic thematic change that takes us far away from the claustrophobia of skid row. The smooth and colorful transition is great and obviously better than just watching the alternate bit from YouTube.
