Honestly just a fun little film, a pretty good time all around. It might even be the laugh out loud comedy of the summer.

By far the funniest Disney movie that we will ever get, and it’s not even close.

I don’t care about the majority of this film, but what I do care about is Tilda Swinton.

Honestly, that’s just kinda embarrassing for Kang. Not managing to kill a single Ant Person? Pretty pathetic if you ask me…

Tip to toe, that’s a Darren Aronofsky film. The guy’s a melt, but he knows how to make a movie. Conceptually, it’s probably the least interesting film he’s made for me (maybe barring Noah, although that get a bit weird with it), but it works a lot better than I thought it would, in no small part to the excellent performances. Brendan Fraser absolutely deserves the Oscar that I’m sure he’s about to receive. Difficult watch as always, thanks Darren.

There’s something a little bit sad about the fact that in the past couple years Steven Spielberg has been making some genuinely incredible films, and yet they are met with apathy at the box office. The fact that both this and West Side Story were both flops is a tragedy.

A decent portion of this film is just Joy bullying Sadness, and I don’t enjoy those parts.

This was one of the Disney films I had on VHS when I was a child, which is a big reason why it’s probably still my favourite Disney film to this day. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s an incredibly beautiful film with a soundtrack for the ages.
