A thought exercise with little thought to it. Functions fine as a home invasion thriller but even then Shyamalan isn’t a misanthropic enough storyteller to make this as nasty as it’s concept calls for it to be. This may go down as my least favorite of Shyamalan’s work because his previous misfires are at least interesting.
