What more needs said? It got Steven Spielberg on the hot-list in Hollywood, defined the standards of blockbuster filmmaking, and made many (and still do even in 2015) afraid of water. Many of the sequences directed by Spielberg are still highly tense and suspenseful to this day yet an extreme blast to watch thanks to the excellent John Williams music. It also creates excellent tension thanks to the well-developed characters determined to bring the shark down, all with different motives. It's an excellent thriller, still frightening for those still afraid of sharks and the ocean, and a contender for one of Spielberg's greatest films ever.
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
