Agreed to other comments that the film feels artificial and predictable. The focus is entirely on Charlie and all the other characters exist to bring up more information for audiences to learn. It's like watching a well-staged show instead of watching a film. Just as the film said anyone can't save anyone, this film did not move me because Charlie is adamant about what he want. Friends and Strangers 2021
Such a relatable film for me as a socially awkward person. Just as Ray, I live everyday life with a lot of observing the surrounding things and people, doing random things, struggling to build up new relationship, and thinking too much about things, and most of the times simply feeling my own existence. Life is neither happy or sad, boring or interesting, nilistic or fulfilling, it's just life. Also the director did a good job with showing the beauty of Sydney.

This film just feels so wrong in many aspects. I really don't know why the director think he is capable to look after his oma with limited understanding of dementia care. One thing I noticed is the oma has a 4 wheels frame. Yet she lived in upstairs and I only saw a few scenes that she walked with her aids. And unsurprisingly she had multiple falls.
