Thor 2011
Some years ago, I took a class in mythology. It looked into Greek, Roman and Nordic legends. I loved all of them but the Nordic Gods and stories seemed particularly interesting. So it was great fun to see them portrayed on the screen….with (to my eye) perfect casting. Throw in Shakespearean expert Kenneth Branagh as director and what an interesting mixture emerged.

Iron Man 2 2010
This is the second time I’ve watched this. I gave it 3 stars the first time but going to up it to 3 1/2 today. It’s more fun watching it now that I’m watching it in the Marvel series. Fun to see the different characters coming together.

Tower Heist 2011
You know how Letterboxd participants like to make lists? Top ten comedies, best horror films, favorite directors, etc. This movie is on my “Best Movies to Watch While in a Hospital Waiting Room While Your Husband is Having a Procedure List”.
It’s not so good that it’s frustrating when there are lots of interruptions. Not so good that it suffers from a lack of focus.
