Film #7 of 30 of Scavenger Hunt #49
This rings true to me with the Foster Children experience, except for funnier, adorable, and with a much happier ending than my aunt and uncle had with their Foster Children. Maybe not a great recruitment tool because it does show some of the truths of what can happen, it isn't all sunshine and lollipops. It's a mainstream comedy so it's not going to go too dark...though I was surprised how dark it did go when talking about what happened to the kids that are now in foster care. How they managed to take some sad/frustrating moments and make them completely hilarious, but still sad and frustrating struck such a great balance. I have to admit I was really looking forward to this movie (I will watch Rose Byrne in anything!) and I wasn't disappointed at all. I was happy with how funny this is and heart-warming, and heart breaking, and just so darn cute!
