    I think this has been sitting on my laptop since some time in 2016. God knows what circumstances led me to seek it out initially, but I've been avoiding it since I watched the first three minutes and detected the obvious aesthetics of judge bait.

    A surprisingly dull affair for a film featuring actors wearing animatronic creature heads, lobsters up the arse and a talking puppet penis. I suppose if I had more familiarity with the work of the Marquis De Sade and French history I might have gotten more out of this.

    The producer, Claudie Ossard, was also producer on Delicatessen and most of Jean Pierre Juenet's films.

    It has to be said Richard Kelly had absolutely no involvement in this film in any way.
