I mean, I know I'll sound boring but I'm pretty sure I'd have appreciated it better if the girls weren't too loud.

Also I'm not sure why everyone's talking about the feeling of happiness. I was worried about their father when he was late and their mother all along.

And for last, I think it could've had much more of the mystical creatures involved. First time Totoro appears is like 30 min in.

But anyways, ghibli's creatures are always astonishingly beautiful.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Gotta be honest, I have a tendency to try to give meaning to whatever I'm watching right away. Not as a hole, but keeping track of the small meanings troughout the film. Hardly ever I sit down and just relax and enjoy the ride, letting just my feelings take control and waiting to do the thinking just when it's over. I think it works better as a mix in most cases. For that reason, watching 'La double vie de Véronique'…

I feel like some scenes - even considering their importance to the construction of the story - could easily be shortened.

I also don't understand the dad's behavior. He's grieving, yes, but sometimes he looks like the child. I'm pretty sure being that harsh with a kid who just lost her mother is not the way to go.

The ending is pretty though, but overall I was not sold on many things about this.
