“Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook, or tie down its tongue with a rope? Will it keep begging you for mercy? Will it speak to you with gentle words? Nothing on Earth is its equal. It is king over all that are proud.”

    A little history lesson:
After the Black Plague most European countries slowly headed away from the totalitarian rule of Feudalism, there simply was not enough people to work the land anymore, and many had fled the…

“It’s endless, it can only change into new forms.”

Obviously I don’t think all movies should look and feel the same. But if all movies looked and felt like this, I would not complain. I’m not entirely sure what to write.. it’s fucking otherworldly! Well, for us normal human beings it’s otherworldly for Swedish people I expect this is just your average Tuesday.

    Overall,
Are you a sucker for absurd comedy and strange atmospheric film with incredible cinematography? Well, this is it! Like a bunch of Monty Python sketches directed by Ingmar Bergman on 5 tabs of acid.

“For us the natural world is a playground. But for the things that live in it… it might be hell on Earth. But that’s nature for you”

    This movie invented #corecore.
So good! Like nothing I’ve ever seen before and definitely a movie I’m gonna think about for the longest of times. The soundtrack is immaculate and the presentation gives off one of the most absurd atmospheres in film history, there’s nothing like it. The whole experience is hypnotic, very…

“If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is: infinite.”

Some movies are just meant to be in black and white. Incredible atmosphere with an amazing performance by Johnny Depp. The direction is immaculate too, the plot is a bit confusing at times, but the theme of death is without a doubt one of my favourites and I’m unable to not be immersed.

    Overall,
Jim Jarmusch again surprises me with his ability to twist around themes and genres. Great cinematography and one of Depp’s greatest performances. Highly recommend!

This doc summarized: Some people have homes, some people are homeless, homeless = poor and dirty and so many homeless in USA - not good! 😡 - here’s footage of homeless people for proof. We at multi-billion dollar corporation not out-of-touch we promise.

They’re just pointing out an issue. And oh my god the interviews 😫 they’re presenting it like we’ve never heard about homelessness before. Maybe contribute something new? Present a possible solution? Teach us something! You know since you’re nominated for a fucking Oscar and all.
