Matt Thomas’s review published on Letterboxd:
Film of the year? Yes, quite possibly.
Such a warm, bright, breezy and witty film. The script is sharp, the New Zealand bush beautiful, and the cast are all without exception spot on. Particular highlights are seeing a rejuvenated Sam Neill, discovering new talent in Julian Dennison, and superb turns/cameos from Rima Te Wiata, Rhys Darby and the director himself.
2016 is finally starting to look a bit better!
