    ★★★½

I had no idea donkey starred in blaxploitation movies before meeting Sherk

  • Uncut Gems

    Uncut Gems

    ★★★★½

Loved it. Felt so authentic, claustrophobic, and chaotic. The real crowds, the tight framing, and every character screaming over one another really played into this.

Sandler is amazing, and those last 30 minutes were edge of your seat, take your breath away intense.

Do yourself a favor this holiday and give it a watch

  • Marriage Story

    Marriage Story

    ★★★★½

No words. The actors completely sink into their characters. Ending floored me. Watch

    Watched for class

Have been meaning to watch this for a long time so I was excited we were watching it in class.

  • The Irishman

    The Irishman

    ★★★★

Marty knows mob movies like the back of his hand and The Irishman feels like something he couldn’t have made until now. Slow and meditative, exciting and heartbreaking, The Irishman, is a wonderful culmination of Scorsese’s career (even if it isn’t his last picture)

  • Knives Out

    Knives Out

    ★★★★½

Hilarious, thrilling, and smartly written, this murder mystery sees Johnson at the top of his filmmaking game with the all star cast firing on all cylinders too. Without a doubt one of my favorite things I’ve seen all year

  • Ford v Ferrari

    Ford v Ferrari

    ★★★½

Bale and Damon good. Although, strange hearing Bale use his natural accent.

It dragged every so often but those race sequences were exhilarating. Glad I gave it a watch

Absolutely awesome cannot wait to see again

Not in the right state of mind to write anything else. Will write more at a later date

Really liked this one. Despite the obvious Wes Anderson comparisons, this feels like complete and unadulterated Watiti. I don’t really think anyone else working today could make something like this. Humor consistently landed and a few moments got to me. Only complaint was the middle felt repetitive. It opens really strong, then it loses some steam in the middle, then gets it back for a great ending. Recommend.
