  • Malignant

    Gory campy fun. Loved it.

  • The Suicide Squad

    The Suicide Squad

Some clunky dialogue and flat jokes aside, I really enjoyed this. It’s zany, violent, gleefully profane, and most of all, wears its heart on its sleeve.

Gunn is a master at getting you invested in each and every member of the large ensemble.

    King Shark is King 👑🦈

Looked and sounded great on the big screen.

    Fun times.

  • The Sparks Brothers

    The Sparks Brothers

Glad to finally catch this. A rollicking doc that’s loads of fun and a testament to the creative sprit. Excited to dive into some Sparks songs

  • Old

Some solid body horror with a twinge of existential dread. Some beautifully choreographed shots/sequences (that 35mm photography is 🤌 ). And best of all, tons of laughably bad dialogue. I had a blast.

  • Memories of Murder

    Memories of Murder

I watched this when I was like 14 and it just didn’t connect with me at all. I wasn’t invested. I wasn’t paying attention. I didn’t get it.

“Rewatching” it today, on a rainy day no less, was an incredible experience. Such great craft, performances, and tonal balance.

That ending too; sent chills down my spin. So well done.

  • In the Heights

    In the Heights

A little rough around the edges and bloated from a runtime perspective, but ultimately enjoyable with some good songs and choreography

  • A Quiet Place Part II

    A Quiet Place Part II

Solid horror sequel. Good tension, decent scares, some solid cross cutting. Fun times in the theater

  • Bo Burnham: Inside

    Bo Burnham: Inside

Not every joke lands but just like the rest of Bo’s specials, it’s witty, honest, and heartfelt.

White Woman’s Instagram is a banger
    The lighting is kinda gorgeous
Might be my favorite thing I’ve watched this year
    Good stuff
