Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2018
My directing professor taught us that the moment the lights go down, your story starts. A lot of films forget this, but Spider-Verse comes right out the gate by fucking up its opening logos and immediately exciting the shit out of me.
Scott Pilgrim levels of fun.
A killer voice ensemble.
Stunning character designs, especially for most of the villains.
A soundtrack that flexes its muscles in all the right places.
Some of, if not the greatest, animation I've ever seen in my life.
