Matt Goldberg’s review published on Letterboxd:
This reminded me a lot of 2001 in that the craftsmanship is undeniable and it’s filled with rich ideas, but the experience was not my tempo. Not every movie has to be enjoyed, but I feel like I could really only engage with High Life on an intellectual level. And there’s plenty there! It asks hard questions about what it means to be human, what’s the meaning of life devoid of society and in an abyss, and how the primal is juxtaposed with the scientific. It’s not a bad movie by any stretch, but it wasn’t for me.
