Matthew Noble’s review published on Letterboxd:
"Are you in love with anybody else?"
I was extremely excited to plunge into the filmography of Spike Jonze, and am pleased to report that Her was everything I wanted and more. Obviously I could prattle on about how beguiling the aesthetics were and the magnificence of everybody's performances - between this, Don Jon, and Under the Skin, Scarlett Johansson was killing it back in 2013 - but what really struck me most about Her was the fluidity of its execution. Jonze conceptualised this idea, thought about every conceivable implication of it, and followed them all through to their logical conclusions. That's seriously impressive. And in doing so, he created one of the greatest love stories of 21st century cinema. I adored it.
