    ACTIONx52 (2023)
    38. Watch An Action Film Produced in USA

Point Blank is forgettable and generic- but fun. It couldn't break out of the 90's action clichΓ©s and falls far short of the decade's standards.

Danny Trejo is absolutely unhinged here and worth the watch alone. He's snorting coke while a hostage stripper dances on him, he's covered in paint shooting at people, he's screaming every line, the man is a treasure. Mickey Rourke is bland although gets the job done. Everyone is having a dick measuring contest with each other as egos are through the roof. Come to Point Blank for Trejo.

    The 2023 Cult Movie Challenge
    Week 12: Video Nasties Week

Jess Franco is a mixed bag for me, I like the idea of him and his passion more than the output itself. The Demons is a title I've been drawn to for awhile solely due to that poster art itself. If you've seen a nunsploitation picture before you've basically seen them all as this here is the same shit. Horny nuns, erotic torture, and bad accents. It's a boring watch but watching a girl on girl scene eating ass with some smooth jazz fusion underneath was a great start to my day.

Hearing Iron Maiden's "Flash of the Blade" while seeing a flash of a blade was greatly satisfying.

Standard Argento fanfare to be found here. His incredible scores, beautiful lighting, and that climax was something else. Absolutely wild.

Hear me out- I'm a big Rob Zombie fan whether as a musician or a director. Him taking on a PG rated film was a side that I never expected. I think everyone can agree there was some excitement with the announcement of him directing The Munsters and all excitement diminished quickly when that horrid trailer dropped. The movie really isn't that bad! Much better than the trailer leads you to believe.

Zombie starts right at the beginning so no…
