Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 2021
Some amazing action. That bus sequence was brilliant. I wish it was shorter but I feel like that about most recent marvel films.
Hope we get a lot more of Shang-Chi and Katy! -
The Goonies 1985
I think this is must be my first time watching from start to finish because I don't remember the opening at all.
What an adventure.
One of those films that makes you both happy and slightly melancholic. Happy because it reminds you what it was like to be a kid and with your friends. Sad because you've lost a little of that adventure.
I hope kids are still finding the Goonies years from now.

No Time to Die 2021
Far from a perfect film, but a perfect send-off for Daniel Craig, my favourite Bond. I didn't feel the runtime at all, the longest Bond film ended up feeling like one of the shortest ones.
So much here is executed beautifully, namely Craig's performance, the score and the visuals. With some incredibly memorable moments, stakes were higher than any other Bond film and I didn't want it to end. The whole thing really worked for me aside from a few characters…

Bridget Jones's Diary 2001
Had no idea this movie would finally allow me to fulfill my fantasy of watching Colin Firth and Hugh Grant beat the shit out of each other.

The Minimalists: Less Is Now 2021

I mean, it was well done but most of what this film had to offer had already been said or established in the first one. I like The Minimalists themselves (as well as the director, Matt D'Avella) but their scripted scenes kind of took away from the film for me, especially since we had seen and heard all of this before.
I was really…

The Minimalists: Less Is Now 2021
A good way to start the year.
I think this is a great introduction to minimalism, even if it is heavily tied into Joshua's and Ryan's personal stories. If you are already aware of minimalism this (probably) won't bring anything new to the table. For me it's a reminder to keep my consumption impulses in check.
Less is Now is also well shot and edited, so it's an enjoyable experience overall.
I recommend it, especially if you are new to minimalism. -

On the Rocks 2020
"What happened to you... you used to be fun" -Felix,
- 2020 Ranked: boxd.it/4zdAI
- Sofia Coppola Ranked: boxd.it/2gEnUBill Murray singing... we love to see it.
A woman (Rashida Jones) who suspects that her husband (Marlon Wayans) might be cheating, pairs up with her lothario dad (Bill Murray) to investigate the suspect and things are learned. Much of the film is just Jones and Murray having cute and/or reflective conversations about life, fighting, and doing tons of awkward stuff.…
