Sadly the most interesting bits are few and far between. Worth watching for the live performances, stories about him writing soundtracks on location, and use of prime numbers in his composition.

The mood reminded me of The Beatles "Get Back" where they were struggling to get anything done, which also wasn't very interesting now that I think about it.

Perhaps most useful to see what a genius does when they're in the doldrums.

This is basically the blueprint for Taken. Typical Luc Besson action movie, which is just fine by me. I did not realise the bad guy was the actor from the Taxi series!

What would today be a screen recording, or an animated GIF, or a TikTok was in 1985 an edited video of camcorder footage of a classic Macintosh computer screen. The animations themselves are mostly charming experiments and represent a frenzy of creativity.

That's what it was like to get a computer for the first time in the 80s: the possibilities seemed limitless and everything was fun and new ground to discover.

The audio in this is an instrumental interpretation of "Singin' in the Rain".
