    Marathon Man

    A rollercoaster of quality. For one, epic poster. I enjoyed Doc's narrative part in the first act. I thought it was a cool take on the Bond-esque character, especially with the cinematography that captured Paris that well. I caught up with Dustin Hoffman's Babe (really?) towards the end which is where he really picked up speed and swagger. It was admittedly an excellent finale, without giving anything away.     The Awful Truth

    I found The Awful Truth to be a pretty good Hollywood comedy. Quite expressive characters that were fun to see interact with each other. I love a good New York, upperest class story. It’s a movie of one-liners and quick jabs that makes you laugh here and there and subconsciously be amazed at the feats of cinema in the 30s. I love peeking into the social customs and relationship customs depicted in the movies from early 20th century. It was a funny world on film and this one is good enough for the fun of it.

    The entire first evening is so incredible and ahead of it’s time to me. The coloring and quality of the image / grain feels more 80’s or even 90’s than 1967. Especially whenever the pool or water is in the frame. It shines like diamonds in teeth.
