Max Shoham’s review published on Letterboxd:
Peter Parker pay-per-views porn in this film.
That being said, I enjoyed this film a lot. I think the first 2 acts work really well, and some of the emotional payoffs between peter and MJ are lovely- but the 3rd act kinda killed it for me. Homecoming was so good because of its scale. The finale in London was just overblown. I hope whatever the next Live action Spider-Man film may be, it takes the small, relatable scale of Homecoming into consideration. Spider-Man is supposed to be a metaphor for the balance of highschool life and adolescence- with each marvel film, we stray further from this M.O.
As a final entry in the Tom Holland flash in the pan chapter, it’s pretty good, and really friggin cute.
