Ok so this is the second time in two days. This film is fucking perfect.
The cinematography is honestly perfect, the contrast between the muted colours and the beautiful greens and blues is amazing. Also northern Italy is the best setting for a film ever made. The story is relatable to anyone and is completely believable. The score is fucking incredible, sufjan stevens is one of the most talented musicians working in film it’s just beautiful.
The performances from Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hanmer are some of the most convincing and passionate in the last few years and I think they are perfect for the roles. The whole story is just enthralling from Ellio’s girlfriend’s storyline to the secretive but not so secretive relationship between Oliver and Ellio. This film is so close to perfect that it is unbelievable I love everything about it. I do still have more to say but it’s really hard to think of everything in one review when a film is so fantastic.
I aspire to be Luca Guadagnino. Honestly. Please. I Beg You.
