I’m not going to give this one a full review because I wasn’t able to stay for the full showing.
That being said, there was nothing I saw during the first hour that made me feel like I need to finish the film. As is the case with Argento’s original works, it simply doesn’t grab me at all. Even the grotesque moments just fail to be anything but pretty violence.
For fans of Argento, an art house apeing of his style might hit the spot. I’m simply reminded of watching Van Sant’s Psycho in the theater wondering why he bothered.
