I wanted to watch something released in 2022 that my brothers would enjoy, and this really hit the spot. It’s not the best movie ever— it’s paced way too quickly, has some poor writing, and overall certain decisions that don’t play well. It’s also extremely unoriginal. Pressure forms diamonds
Really awesome concept, but it’s executed terribly. This is possibly on of the messiest films I’ve ever seen tonally; it plays itself dead serious at certain points, but it’s undercut by comic moments and plot lines throughout. Speaking of plot, the first half almost didn’t have one at all, and the second half only improved on that a minute touch. It was anchored by two really solid performances from Miles Teller and Chris Hemsworth though, so that was cool. Overall however, extremely disappointing.
