milesdinou’s review published on Letterboxd:
The most harrowing film i've seen all this year. It's gritty sense of realism is reflected through the shaky and unrelentless camerawork and our main character's state of mind.
The film as a whole is one of the most devastating things I have ever seen in my entire life. It is a nail-biting social commentary whilst also being a painfully real and almost surreal odyssey into the nightlife of Queens.
The color pallette only adds to this factor.
Pattinson is brilliant.
God, this was genius
The ending made me shed a tear. It was that painstakingly powerful.
Thank you, Josh and Benny Safdie.
