Meg’s review published on Letterboxd:
Such a beautiful film. I went into this thinking it was going to be extremely depressing, being about the holocaust but, I was pleasantly surprised. It's very lighthearted and that's one of the things I found myself loving about this film. It is about a father trying to make his son laugh and play a game during the holocaust and it is so beautifully done. Although I did cry (buckets) it wasn't because the film was depressing by any means, but by how amazing the characters were. The Oscar for Roberto Benigni was well deserved. Incredible film.
