Melissa McDowell’s review published on Letterboxd:
I laughed way more than I was expecting to in the film. This really plays with the surreality of grief in interesting ways. I loved some of the camera work here, especially that “we’re not in Kansas anymore” shot of the car on the highway that suddenly flips upsidedown. A signal of the unexpected to come. I was a little disappointed with the film at first - I found it all a bit too predictable, telegraphed a little too clearly. But 2 weeks later, I’m still thinking about it, so there is definitely something to it, even if that something is just Pugh and that amazing sunshiny rural gorgeousness.
