Begins almost excessively minimalist, like dialogue was straight up deleted out of the script if it gave context to anything, but slowly builds those elements in until it just makes sense. This isn’t a horror movie, which I’m fine with (though A24 is going to get burnt by this marketing strategy one  day), and the hypnotic moodiness worked for me in a way that some of these early reviews implied I would not, so yeah. It’s kind of great! 

The ending kind of pissed off my friend, though, so this is probably a film you’re kind of just going to have to watch to know if you’ll like it.
