i actually enjoyed this more than i probably shouldve! it's predictable in places and it isn't massively dissimilar to a lot of movies in the 'mystery monster kills people at random' genre. BUT! there are some great performances here, especially from hermione corfield, and the film sticks to its low budget - that meaning that, unlike a lot of lower budget films, it doesnt try to overdo it on the special effects, especially on the monster front. it's not over complicated - it is what it is! and i thought it was quite fun :)

i really enjoyed this film. (without spoilers) the scene where you first begin to see things change and become something entirely different than what the others were expecting was especially great.

this documentary gutted me. it's an incredibly hard watch but everyone needs to hear about kalief's story. it's one that far too common in the american justice system and his experience and life should have created - and be creating - huge changes. he was an incredible man.
