Like many of you, I had no idea what the Hell this even was a few weeks ago. All the drama aside, I think it’s pretty damn good and Riseborough is more than worthy of a nomination. Film itself is far from original and it can get mighty predictable but it’s the performances and emotional weight of the material that carries the picture. Final scene, especially Allison Janney’s monologue, is definitely one of the better endings from last year. Good film. I also really love that poster.
