  Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023

  This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

  “Thank you, Peter. You’re one of our best” is one of the funniest lines of this DECADE, bro.

  I kept track of which lines I audibly laughed at, and there were 9 instances on this watch. And there was a 10th instance where someone behind me said “There is no way that is how they are about to end this movie” followed with PERFECT comedic timing of the dramatic “TO BE CONTINUED” showing up on the screen.

  This movie is just amazing. I want to watch it over and over and over to relive these sequences.

  The stop-motion textures in this were BEAUTIFUL to witness, and I loved the obvious love that went into this film. And the freaking score is top 3 scores I’ve heard this year!!!! Shoutout Alex Mandel, who I have never heard of until now.

  However… this film could have been about 30 minutes shorter. I loved some of the ideas that were explored, but odd pacing and questionable writing for some scenes caused some stumbling along the way.

  This is literally one of the most incredible movies I have ever seen. Opening night Endgame-level theater experience. I am absolutely JUICED after seeing this with a full theater of people.

  The action in this movie is some of the best pure energy put onto screen my eyes have ever witnessed. I love it so much.

  The music is so good. The score and the soundtrack had me so amped the entire time.

  Hobie Brown / Spider-Punk is an absolute phenom. The energy is UNMATCHED.

  I’m convinced that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have actual super powers because HOW DO YOU WRITE DIALOGUE THAT GOOD?!?!

  I laughed so many times. Like that was actually the most surprising thing for my film experience because I KEPT laughing over and over and over. I loved it.
