I think this movie had some good things in i, but it also think there are some issues with it. 

The Positives:
• A compelling story of grief, revenge and realization 
• Very meta play
• Good use of mirror reflections and tapes
• I like Hidetoshi Nishijima as the main character. Seems like a good leading man. 

The Negatives:
• It’s slow
• The glaucoma seemed to just show up and disappear as a plot point
• I guess my assumptions made me think this would be a different movie
