rewatched it w/ my mom cause she’s a sucker for Ladybird & therefore Greta Gerwig. She laughed for a full minute when Frances tried play fighting with her friend, so I call that a mission success.
also I feel like this film focuses on how people always have to compare an individual or creative content to something they can personally relate to. Kindaaa similar to how everyone is saying they are “literally Frances” in the reviews. But idk that’s just my interpretation.
(but love that they kept the story ending realistic, it wasn’t wrapped up in a nice little bow - Frances doesn’t know what life has in store for her and neither do we)
