  With the recent release of the new inland Empire criterion and a subsequent rewatch, I decided to also rewatch FWWM to reaffirm my opinion that it's Lynch's best work - which it is. I think I'm also comfortable saying it's the best work of horror fiction we have and the best vision of cyclical abuse and understanding of trauma.

  I think the philosophical crux of twin peaks is the blurry distinction between Leland and BOB, which FWWM recreates after season…
