Stop Making Sense

Stop Making Sense ★★★★½

Energetic, charismatic, personality-filled and full of bangers.

Showmanship only matched by the musicianship of the entire crew.

Byrne's vocals absolutely on point, despite the elaborate, strange and animated choreography.

Frantz's drumming seemlessly matching Byrne's driving energy, without taking over.

Almost the perfect concert film. Only negatives were not enough spotlight on Tina, and only two 'Remain In Light' tracks in the setlist (Would have loved Born Under Punches).

Also, the stage production should be mentioned as an absolute positive, and Demme's directing - Specifically the choice to frantically switch between each musician and the audience members during the finale.

All round, an extremely fun time for previous fans or inevitably, future fans..
