Ahhhhh, nostalgia!! I used to be terrified of this movie and while it still is quite disturbing for a kids' film, it is stupendous and so much fun. Yes, we know the acting isn't the best (my children were still just children) and Dumbledore is one problematic queen letting Gryffindor win the house cup but...this movie brings out all the magic of the book and amplifies it to an extent that is glorious and comforting. I felt many emotions rewatching this and I laughed more than I thought I would (probably not at the parts I was meant to). And I still stand by my opinion that the QuirrellxVoldemort twist is one of the best plot twists in literary/cinematic history, I did not see that coming when I was four.
Anyway, I do love me some early Harry Potter movies where everything works out in the end :.(
