Woof. What happened here? A strange little sequel, almost more of a reboot, now with a bigger budget, but somehow worse effects, directing, and concept. Didn't feel like a continuation from Cube, more of what the creative team probably viewed as improvements on the original theme.

The special effects were atrocious, I've seen DCOMs with better effects and editing. The colored rooms are replaced with solid white rooms, which get boring to look at after a while. Ant Man handled quantum physics with more dignity and logic, and at least made it somewhat more believable.

A lifeless sequel, devoid of emotional connection, fun, horror, likable characters that you'd want to care about, and I can't believe I'm saying it, but even the sex scene was pointless. Cube 2: Hypercube? More like Rube Poo: Hypersnooze ;)
