Michael Pope’s review published on Letterboxd:
A loud, incoherent, shallow mess of a movie. It's got scale, spectacle and some good action beats but with no emotional engagement it all rings a little hollow. John David Washington is as miscast as R-Patz is under-utilised.
Also, does Nolan think footage played in reverse is this sick, rad new effect no one's ever seen before? My phone can do that. I think my dad might think it looks cool but he'd fall asleep around the 90 minute mark.
A serious disappointment and Nolan's weakest since TDKR.
