Lauren Donis’s review published on Letterboxd:
A pregnant couple suspect a doll may be possessed when strange occurrences begin to happen. Since The Conjuring films didn't particularly impress me, this spin-off was easy to ignore but with a recommendation for its sequel, it was finally time to watch it. It's exactly what you'd expect for what it is and it's not enjoyable at all. The acting is bad, the story is all over the place, it's never scary or tense and when it almost gets it right, it throws a lame-ass jump scare in your face that obliterates anything good it had going for it. There were a few moments that could've been used to turn this into a really cool psychological thriller about postpartum depression and it decided to just be a pointless generic crappy piece of nothing.
