Seven Brides for Seven Brothers 1954
Wow. First, it’s a little fucked up that this is based on a narrative about the Sabine Women history. I mean, right?! Interestingly directed by the director of Singin’ in the Rain, who I think thought the script was a reserved piece of ginger pornography. For a niche audience interested in coerced domestic services. Anyway, fun choreography. Even though I couldn’t help but think how it would’ve been easier for them to just order their wives for delivery online, I liked this.
