The “Sunday” sequence is my version of everyone arriving to the final battle in Avengers: Endgame.

The movie is fine. It’s sloppy. I think utilizing the the device of the stage show doesn’t work at all. Lin is clearly a first time director. Plus the Jonathan Larson ethos has always sort of bugged me. But enough worked for me, mostly thanks to a totally committed Andrew Garfield performance.
