I feel like this rewatch was the perfect film to cap off 2017 for me. I've been thinking about this film a lot lately, and I feel that it has grown on me. The film encapsulates life, freedom and naïveté. This is honestly where Gerwig excels as a writer, capturing life during ones teens/twenties. It's a period of time where you want to go and experience the outside world, and thats what the character of Frances is trying to do. She doesn't plan ahead living life by the day. Frances can represent many of us, having huge aspirations and no real drive to achieve them.

This is just a deeply human film, and one that I think that many can relate to. Now it has sit with me for quite some time, I feel comfortable bumping it up to 5 stars. I just can't stop thinking about it. Just please see this film.

Well thats it....2017 is over.

It's been a great year for film in my opinion, especially for sequels. I mean, Blade Runner 2049, War for The Planet of the Apes and John Wick 2 are spectacular. Original films were also great, with films like Lady Bird, Phantom Thread and The Shape of Water being among my favorite of the year.

It was also my second full year using this website, which I have grown to love even more. I've met many people and continued to deepen my friendships with those I have already met.

I was also able to log 322 films during this year, much more than I did last year. On top of that, 100 of those films were 2017 releases. I can't watch many films, as my main priority is school, but I'm glad I was able to watch as many as I did.

So thanks for making this year pretty awesome. I enjoy interacting with you guys and hope that you enjoy the writing I put out.

Well, there's not much more to say.

Here's to 2018
